1. Download and inspect the file

Open the downloaded file once in the Gallery or Photos app and confirm that the full animation plays, the image is vertical, and the scene matches the download page.
2. Try the phone’s built-in wallpaper controls
Open the downloaded video in the phone’s Gallery. Look in the three-dot or sharing menu for an option such as Set as wallpaper, Video wallpaper, or Use as wallpaper. If available, choose whether the animation should appear on the Lock Screen, Home Screen, or both. Preview the crop carefully before applying it.

3. If the MP4 option is missing
A missing video option usually means the phone’s built-in wallpaper picker does not accept personal MP4 files. It does not necessarily mean the download is damaged. In this case, use a reputable video-wallpaper app from Google Play. Check recent reviews, the developer name, permissions, and the most recent update date. A wallpaper utility should not need access to contacts, messages, or precise location.

4. Frame the animation for icons and the clock
Live wallpapers sit behind interface elements. Check that faces and important objects are not hidden under the clock, notification cards, fingerprint indicator, or a dense group of icons. If your phone allows separate settings, a calm animated scene often works best on the Lock Screen and a simpler still image on the Home Screen.
